PERRYSVILLE VOLUNTEER FIRE CO.
STATION 248
The Perrysville Volunteer Fire Company is a 100% volunteer organization. Chartered in 1908, we have been serving the citizens of Ross Township and neighboring communities for over 115 years.
We serve the community by responding to emergencies such as car fires, car crashes and smoke alarm activations, as well as by participating in community activities such like parades and fire prevention visits at local schools. We also work with local youth by partnering with organizations like the Boy Scouts. Additionally, the Perrysville Volunteer Fire Company is PA Department Of Health Certified to provide Quick Response Service medical assistance, which dispatches members of the fire company to preform basic life support functions ahead of the arrival of the ambulance.
As a "neighbors helping neighbors" organization, we are reliant on the community for both membership and funding. There is something for everyone at Perrysville, whether it is helping with the administrative operation of the fire hall as an Associate Member, directing traffic as a member of Fire Police, or a full Firefighter membership. Members of Perrysville develop close friendships in addition to discipline and integrity.
